The LEO Africa volunteer base is inside the Selati Game Reserve in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. Selati Game reserve is an undiscovered gem of African wilderness, near the borders of Kruger National Park, with no ecotourism and the aim to conserve and manage wildlife populations.

The 33,000-ha private reserve straddles a diverse grassland area between Gravelotte and Mica. From Jo'burg, the Selati Game Reserve is about a five-hour drive on excellent paved roads; you can also fly to Phalaborwa from Jo'burg and we'll pick you up on a Tuesday.

The volunteer base is 70km from the Phalaborwa entrance to the Kruger National Park and 50km from the upper Drakensberg Mountains, offering some radically different day trips in your free time.
Volunteer life
Most of your time is spent in the Selati Game Reserve; occasional visits to town, space permitting, offer welcome treats like email and chocolate.
