Duration & group size - LEO Africa Volunteer Research

The LEO Africa conservation volunteer programmes in South Africa have a maximum of 12 volunteers.

The volunteer programme runs throughout the year. The minimum volunteer duration is 2 weeks and the maximum is 12 weeks; if you stay for 8 weeks or more you qualify for free annual membership with FGASA and a chance to complete your level 1 theory qualification under the mentorship of the LEO staff during your stay.

Flights and coaches depart every day from Jo'burg to Phalaborwa and we will collect you and your fellow volunteers on Tuesdays from the meeting point. We can assist with any queries and bookings when you apply.
